We often think that signing up for a program or hiring a trainer is the solution to our health and fitness struggles.
While both are wonderful tools to help you reach your goals – YOU still have to do the work.
You still have to prepare healthy meals even when you are busy, go for a walk or run even when it is cold outside, do the push-ups while your family watches tv…
If you find yourself blaming the diet or coach or other external circumstances for your failures, you are not taking responsibility to figure problems out on your own.
Just like we cannot rely on other people and things to make us happy, we cannot rely on other people or things to reach goals for us.
Stop looking for quick-fixes and put in the time to do the hard work.
This sounds a bit harsh. I know. But sometimes, we need those hard words to give us a kick in the butt and get moving towards living a life we want.
We have to stop just getting by. We must start owning our own happiness, wellness, holiness.
If you are ready to start owning up to your own wellness, I invite you to join us this Lent in completing a Whole30.
Whole30 is simple. You remove psychologically unhealthy, hormone-unbalancing, gut-disrupting, inflammatory food groups for a full 40 days – all Lent.
This will give your body time to heal and recover from foods that have been causing you harm.
RESET – towards your metabolism, systemic inflammation, and all unhealthy effects that some food choices that you have been choosing are causing towards your Holy Temple.
After 40 days…. You will carefully reintroduce those foods and pay attention to how they impact your cravings, mood, energy, sleep, digestion, and more.
You will have data to start owning your wellness and have the freedom to make real choices that will bring you wellness.
Foods that you eat should :
1. Promote a healthy psychological response.
2. Promote a healthy hormonal response.
3. Support a healthy guy.
4. Support immune function and minimize inflammation. (Whole30)
By owning up to your wellness, you will find the strength to walk on this journey towards holiness.
You don’t have to do this alone.
The beauty of our Catholic Faith is that we were met to be in communion with others.
Catholic Fit Moms for Life is a community of moms from all walks of life who want to own up to their own happiness, holiness, and wellness.
Join us this lent along with St. Joseph.
We will support each other to complete a Whole40 as well fall in love with St. Joseph as we consecrate ourselves to St. Joseph using Fr. Calloways, Consecration to St. Joseph.
This lent, reset your body, mind, and soul towards holiness through your wellness.
